Thank you for shopping at Switch Stance Surf & Skate.

If for any reason, You are not completely satisfied with a purchase We invite You to review our policy on refunds and returns.

The following terms are applicable for any products that You purchased with Us.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in the plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Return and Refund Policy:

  • Company” (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to Switch Stance Surf & Skate.
  • Goods” refers to the items offered for sale on the Service.
  • Orders” means a request by You to purchase Goods from Us.
  • Service” refers to the Website.
  • Website” refers to Switch Stance Surf & Skate, accessible from switchstance.co.nz
  • You” means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

  

Your Order Cancellation Rights

At Switch Stance Surf & Skate, we offer a flexible returns policy and are happy to exchange items back for a store credit or exchange if items purchased don’t fit or the items are damaged/faulty upon receipt.

·        Goods cannot be returned or exchanged if the customer has simply changed their mind. Or the customer has found the item cheaper elsewhere!

 ·      Refunds and exchanges are permitted where the goods purchased do not perform as advertised.

·        Refunds & Exchanges will only be offered on full priced items only.

·        Unfortunately, sale or discontinued items cannot be exchanged or refunded.

Conditions for Returns

In order for the Goods to be eligible for a return, please make sure that:

  • The Goods were purchased in the last 14 days
  • The Goods are in the original packaging and UNUSED
  • The following Goods cannot be returned: SURFBOARDS, SOFT TOPS, SUP’s, Anything CUSTOM ordered for YOU
  • Gift Vouchers. These can’t be exchanged for cash either.
  • Items that have been on Laybuy terms made in-store.
  • The supply of Goods made to Your specifications or clearly personalized.
  • The supply of Goods which according to their nature are not suitable to be returned deteriorate rapidly or where the date of expiry is over.
  • The supply of Goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery.
  • The supply of Goods which are, after delivery, according to their nature, inseparably mixed with other items.

We reserve the right to refuse returns of any merchandise that does not meet the above return conditions at our sole discretion.

Returning Goods

You are responsible for the cost and risk of returning the Goods to Us. You should send the Goods at the following address:

Switch Stance Surf & Skate, Unit 10, 2 Ashley Place, Papamoa Beach, Tauranga 3118.

We cannot be held responsible for Goods damaged or lost in return shipment. Therefore, We recommend an insured and trackable mail service. We are unable to issue a refund without actual receipt of the Goods or proof of received return delivery.

HOW DO I MAKE A RETURN TO SWITCH STANCE?

ALL RETURNS MUST BE MADE DIRECTLY WITH OUR STORE

All return enquiries must be made directly to the Switch Stance Store associated with your order. Please contact the Switch Stance store associated with your order before returning the goods by post.

ALL RETURNS MUST HAVE A CONTACT THE STORE FIRST.

Goods must be returned to the original store your purchase was made from along with a completed copy of your communication, receipt proof of purchase , either by:

Physically bringing the items to the Store (outlined on your invoice) or

Sending them back to the Store (outlined on your invoice)

IF SHIPPING GOODS BACK TO YOUR LOCAL STORE

Please send them back in the original postage box or bag they came in. Please do not tape up or attach labels direct to the retail packaging.

For your protection, we suggest that you ship the goods to us with a freight service that provides a Signature Required on delivery option. Please ensure you retain a record of your shipment until you have received your replacement or refund.

Unfortunately, your freight charges on returns are not refundable. However, if you are returning an item for exchange (ie. the same style is being changed for a different size or colour) you are not required to pay for delivery on the outgoing parcel. All other returns/reorders will be charged the standard or priority delivery rate based on your delivery preference.

REFUND POLICY

In most cases there is no need to contact us before you make a return unless you think that our help and advice may avoid you having to return the goods (in the case of a fitting problem etc).

  • Goods must be returned within 14 days of receipt .
  • Goods must be in original, saleable condition and undamaged packaging .
  • Goods must not be fitted or used.
  • Clothing and apparel items must have tags still attached and not be used.
  • Original proof of purchase must be provided.
  • Refunds may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 10%.

EXCHANGE POLICY

  • Exchanges can only be processed instore at the Store associated to your original order.
  • Exchanges can only be made for the same product in a different size.
  • All clothing exchanges must be made within 10 days of receipt .
  • All goods (apart from clothing) must be exchanged within 14 days of receipt.
  • Price difference in exchanged goods will be issued by a Switch Stance Gift card to the value of difference.
  • Goods must be in original, saleable condition and undamaged packaging .
  • Goods must not be fitted or used.
  • Clothing and apparel items must have tags still attached and not be used.
  • Original proof of purchase must be provided.

INCORRECTLY SUPPLIED ITEMS

If we have sent you an item which is different to what is listed on your invoice, we will be happy to make an exchange and supply the replacement item. The replacement will be delivered Freight Free.

  • Original proof of purchase must be provided.

WARRANTY ISSUES

All Warranty enquiries must be made directly to the Switch Stance Store associated with your purchase.

New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 The Consumer Guarantee Act sets out minimum standards for goods sold in New Zealand. In the event that goods sold are not of good quality or are faulty, the customer has the right to a repair, replacement or a refund. New Zealand Fair Trading Act 1986 The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect the customer being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing; where the product was made; where the product is from; the meeting of New Zealand safety standards; availability of products in-store and the sales techniques used. Gifts

If the Goods were marked as a gift when purchased and then shipped directly to you, You’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned product is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to You.

If the Goods weren’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give it to You later, We will send the refund to the gift giver.
